a light word to start a conversation, in place of "Say..", "You know.."
- in real life use, when one speaks this word with a frustrated tone of voice, the impression changes to "Gimme a break," as when one starts to speak, but gives up on finishing the sentence because he/she felt it was not worth responding.
- Hiro's made-up word from the same pronunciation, individual Kanji and Hiragana letters superimposed, 「阿の音」, while no such word exists, most Asians can guess it is trying to say "First of Sound", or "First Note".
